Fife sees no new coronavirus cases in five days

A total of 928 cases have been detected in Fife since the start of the outbreak, a number which has remained the same since Wednesday, June 17.

The number of people currently in hospital who have tested positive for coronavirus is 53, which has decreased from 56 just five days ago.

The number of people in intensive care is less than five.

A total of 233,535 people in Scotland have been tested to date. Of these 18,170 were positive.

195 people have now died in Fife as a result of coronavirus, according to the latest statistics released by the Scottish Government.

It means a further three people have died since the previous week’s update.

72 of those deaths have occurred in care homes, with 17 at home, and 106 in hospitals.

The latest death statistics cover the week between June 8 and June 14.
