NHS Fife has confirmed that Kirkcaldy Health Centre has closed temporarily for routine appointments after a number practice staff were required to isolate following contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19.

In a statement on the NHS Fife website it said it has been necessary to postpone all routine appointments for the remainder of today across all three practices based at Kirkcaldy Health Centre.

This also includes those appointments scheduled to take place by phone and by video link.

The statement said: “Those patients requiring urgent review or assessment can continue to do by contacting their practice by telephone. A further update will be provided as soon as possible regarding appointments scheduled to take place over the remainder of this week.

“Anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of Covid-19 should immediately self-isolate and arrange a test using the NHS inform website at:www.nhsinform.scotor by calling 0800 028 2816.”
