A new COVID-19 mobile testing site opens in Cupar today.

It will be based at Fluthers Car Park for the next two weeks.

It is being provided by National Services Scotland and staffed by the Scottish Ambulance Service, and will provide testing for members of the public with COVID-19 symptoms.

People without symptoms are also being encouraged to attend.

Testing is by appointment via 0800 028 2816 or at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

On the online booking form, members of the public without symptoms should select ‘my council or health protection team has asked me to get a test’.

The unit will operate from 10:00am to 6:00pm, seven days a week.

Members of the public will be asked to take a PCR test which involves taking a throat and nose swab, full instructions will be provided.

The test will be analysed in a laboratory with results available within a day or so.

People who test positive will be asked to self-isolate in line with national guidance.
