There have been no new positive cases of coronavirus recorded in Fife over night, according to latest figures.

The daily statistics released by the Scottish Government on Sunday show 879 people in the region who have tested positive for Covid-19 since monitoring began.

The number had risen by two on Friday, from 877 to 879, however there has been no change in the following days.

Currently 54 of these are being treated in the region's hospitals and there are less than five patients in the intensive care unit in Fife hospitals with the virus.

Across Scotland over night there were only 18 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, and there were no new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

A total of 126,012 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 110,391 were negative and 15,621 were positive.

However, the government has said this will be an underestimate of the number of cases. Not everyone with the virus will display symptoms and not all those with symptoms will be tested.
