Rise in Fife coronavirus cases slows down

The number of positive cases in Fife has risen by 10, with 542 in Fife, up from 532 yesterday.

There are currently 120 people in hospital with the virus.

Five of those are in intensive care.

To date, 40,700 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these 8,450 were positive.

It was revealed on Wednesday that the number of coronavirus deaths in Fife has tripled in the space of a week.

46 people are now known to have died, up from 15 the previous week, according to the Scottish Government figures released.

The figures go upto Sunday, April 12, and show that across Scotland 962 who have died have had covid19 mentioned on their death certificate.

The number of people who have died in Scotland is being updated each Wednesday.
