Sunday’s rise comes as the number of people being treated for Covid-19 in hospital locally remains the same at 57.

There are currently less than five people in the intensive care unit in Fife’s hospitals, however the Scottish Government will not give an exact number if it is fewer than five.

In the last 24 hours there were 25 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 throughout Scotland.

The deaths of one person who had tested positive for the virus have been recorded over night.

A total of 137,638 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date.

Of these, 121,883 were negative and 15,755 were positive.

However, the government has said this will be an underestimate of the number of cases as not everyone with the virus will display symptoms, and not all those with symptoms will be tested.
