Seven new positive cases of Covid-19 in Fife in last 48 hours

The number of newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Fife has continued to rise this week.

Sunday’s daily figures published by the Scottish Government show an increase of four new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

This follows smaller increases of three cases on Saturday and two on Friday.

There was a rise of one on Wednesday and Friday.

There have now been a total of 989 positive cases of Covid-19 in the Kingdom since the outbreak began – an increase of 11 from 978 on Tuesday.

The local rise overnight came as Sunday’s figures show there were 123 confirmed cases across Scotland.

Since the outbreak began there have been a total of 548,290 people in Scotland who have been tested for Covid-19.

Of these, 20,318 were positive and 527,972 were confirmed negative.
