Six coronavirus cases linked to Fife seafood firm

Six cases of coronavirus have been detected in people with links to a seafood company in Fife, according to the NHS.

The health body confirmed that the six people linked to a firm in Rosyth have tested positive for COVID-19.

NHS Fife’s Health Protection Team is looking into potential links between the cases, however, it says there is no evidence to suggest widespread transmission of the virus amongst staff at the facility.

Contact tracers from the Test and Protect Team are in the process of identifying and tracing the known contacts of the positive cases to provide public health support and advice.

NHS Fife says that anyone experiencing the symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, should arrange to be tested by calling 0800 028 2816.
