Ten Fife schools and nurseries linked to positive COVID tests

Ten additional schools and nurseries across Fife have been investigated for links to positive COVID tests, according to the latest NHS update.

All bar one focuses on a single case associated with the school.

NHSFife listed the places in its latest regular COVID update today.

It confirmed one positive case linked to Clentry Nursery in Kelty.

There were also single cases associated with Balcurvie Primary in Windygates; Canongate Primary School, St Andrews; Kelty Primary School; McLean Primary School, Dunfermline; Newburgh Primary School and st Ninian’s in Cardenden.

Two positive cases were linked to Levenmouth Academy, and single cases at Auchmuty High, Glenrothes, and Dunfermline High School.

Schools are listed if there has been an impact on the school or if action is needed to be taken.

Where there is more than one confirmed case, this does not necessarily suggest transmission within the school and may relate to a sibling or household group, or it may be separate incidences of community-acquired infection.
