And it seems most of you are looking forward to seeing family once the restrictions are eased, according to the results of our Lockdown Survey.

A massive 77 per cent of Fife Today readers who completed our online survey chose seeing family as one of three areas of everyday life they were looking forward to. It was followed by socialising with friends (60 per cent) and enjoying the outdoors again (37 per cent).

Twenty-one per cent were looking forward to going back to their workplace and only 17 per cent were looking forward to their children going back to school.

Participants were also asked to choose which activities they were looking forward to doing again, and they could choose any number from a set of options.

Going on holidays/trips was top of the poll with 67 per cent of those asked choosing it.

It was closely followed by eating out and going to pubs/bars, which 62 per cent of readers opted for,

Going to the barber/hairdresser came third with 56 per cent choosing it.

The least popular option was attending sports events.

This week we have already revealed some of the results from our lockdown survey and more will be released today and tomorrow.

Inevitably falling advertising revenues will start to have an impact on local newspapers and the way we continue to work during this period of uncertainty.

The support of our readers has never been more important as we try to make sure that we keep you connected with your community during this time. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. We need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.

Our team of trusted reporters are working incredibly hard behind the scenes - from kitchen tables and spare bedrooms - to look at how we can do this, and your continued support of our newspapers across Fife will help to protect their viability in the days and weeks ahead.
