Three people die in Fife due to coronavirus

Fife has also had its first new case in four days, with the total number of positive tests sitting at 879 since Saturday, June 6, until today’s new case pushed it to 880.

Today’s figures showed that 53 people in Fife are currently in hospital with the virus.

A total of 192 people have now died in Fife as a result of coronavirus, according to new figures.

It means a further three people have died since last week’s update.

72 of those deaths have occurred in care homes, with 16 at home, and 104 in hospitals.

The latest death statistics cover the week between June 1 and June 7.
