A further two positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Fife in the last 24 hours.

The news comes as every mainland health board in Scotland recorded at least one positive case of Covid-19 during that time.

Tuesday’s Scottish Government figures show the latest increase in Fife takes the number of confirmed cases in the region to 1018 since the outbreak began.

It follows a rise of two positive cases the previous day and 18 in the last seven days.

Across Scotland a further 176 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total to 21,719 since the outbreak began.

Three people who tested positive have died, taking the total to 2499 deaths of those confirmed as having Covid-19.

A total of 645,183 people in Scotland have now been tested for coronavirus and 623,464 returned negative results.
