Wintry weather forces closure of COVID testing centre

Wintry weather has forced the closure of one COVID testing centre in Fife this morning.

NHS Fife has confirmed the doors at the facility at Cowdenbeath's Maxwell Centre will not open.

It has urged people who had appointments not to travel.

NHS Fife will review the situation later this morning, and provide a further update on whether it are able to open the centre this afternoon.

It said its decision was based on ensuring the safety of members of the public and staff.
