The move was made by Fife Sports And Leisure Trust (FSLT) as it cannot provide indoor group exercise classes or sports for adults.

The restriction to indoor fitness classes, including the trust’s self-funded health and wellbeing programme which supports people living with long-term conditions, adult swimming lessons and indoor sports such as racquet sports, unless both players are from the same household, came into effect last week.

The trust has now re-launched its free live-streamed fitness sessions which ran during lockdown in March.

Fitness instructors are currently delivering around 20 live classes per week, including pilates, HIITStep, and meditation.

Evelyn Crichton, health and fitness co-ordinator, said: "We had a fantastic response to our online sessions during lockdown.
