Almost 950 positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Fife since the outbreak began.

Latest figures, released by the Scottish Government on Monday, show that there have been a total of 947 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Kingdom.

The daily statistics show that over night from Sunday into Monday there were no positive cases recorded locally, with the figure remaining at 947.

However, on Sunday the number had risen by one from 946.

According to the data, in the last seven days there have been six new cases confirmed in the NHS Fife area.

On Monday, Scotland recorded 18 new positive cases of the virus, after recording what was the country’s highest number of new cases in nearly two months on Sunday.

A total of 368,480 people in Scotland have been tested for Covid-19 to date.

Of these 349,786 were confirmed negative and 18,694 were positive.
