New mobile Covid-19 testing site to open in Leven

The site will be operated by the Scottish Ambulance Service and will remain in place for around three weeks.

The new mobile testing station is part of an expanding network of public Covid-19 testing sites across Fife.

Testing at Levenmouth Swimming Pool must be booked in advance at – www.nhsinform.scot/test-and-protect – or by calling 0800 028 2816. People should only book a test if they have coronavirus symptoms, such as a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss or change to their sense of smell or taste.

Josie Murray, consultant in public health and clinical lead for health protection in NHS Fife, said: “The new testing site at Levenmouth Swimming Pool will help to improve access for local people with symptoms of Covid-19. It’s crucial that those who have symptoms of Covid-19, regardless of how mild, isolate immediately and arrange to get tested as soon as possible.”
