The new space is being part funded by an anonymous£500,000 donation given to NHS Fife last year to support frontline workers and patients - and the board’s own Fife Health Charity.

Based within the staff club, it will offer staff a quiet, clam space away from a clinical setting.

Early concept images of what the £200,000 project might look like have been released by NHSFife.

The hub is on course to be completed on schedule by this autumn, with others to follow on other health care sites.

The idea came after staff used Maggie’s Centre as a place to relax at the start of the pandemic.

It was one of the first wellbeing hubs to be created in Scotland.
