Staff wellbeing hub at Victoria Hospital on course to open in autumn

The first glimpse into the new wellbeing hub for staff at Victoria Hospital has been revealed.

The new space is being part funded by an anonymous£500,000 donation given to NHS Fife last year to support frontline workers and patients - and the board’s own Fife Health Charity.

Based within the staff club, it will offer staff a quiet, clam space away from a clinical setting.

They show a lounge area, dining space, and a mezzanine level with an informal meeting space.

The next stage will see the design taken to staff representatives to provide input.

The hub is on course to be completed on schedule by this autumn, with others to follow on other health care sites.

The idea came after staff used Maggie’s Centre as a place to relax at the start of the pandemic.

It was one of the first wellbeing hubs to be created in Scotland.
