Success for Borders homeopathy clinic

A charity clinic in Galashiels is going from strength to strength.

Scottish Borders Homeopathy is a low cost clinic joint funded by Scottish Homeopathic Research and Education Trust and the Faculty of Homeopathy – of which King Charles is patron – opened in 2022 and is now doing so well that it is completely self-funding.

The clinic at the Focus Centre is run by homeopath Luci Lawless who says the clinic is available to “anybody and everybody at any time, any age group and any ailment”.

"You get an initial consultation, then four follow ups which is what we usually recommend in private practice as well,” she said.

“You can see me in person or online, but most people come in person. It's really for people in the Borders but I do have people seeing me from other places too.

"I’ve started holding two 15-minute drop in slots at the monthly clinic, so anybody can pop in to meet me and ask questions.

Luci says that many of her patients are new to homeopathy.

"They have no idea what it's about so I will explain to them what is going to happen because a lot of them think it's like what your GP is going to ask you.

Homeopathy is really cheap, sustainable, green, ecological, there are no toxins going into the water system, no side effects so it's safe for elderly people, pregnant women and babies.

"We've had lovely reports and testimonials from people, because I want to get the whole holistic picture with a patient.

"I don't just manage and limit disease, I engineer health.”
