Over 100 firefighters tackled the massive blaze at Noble’s .Scrap Yard, Randolph Industrial Estate, in late November 2002.
The blaze so intense an exclusion zone was put in place, and trains on the main Edinburgh-London line were suspended as thick black smoke billowed over the tracks.
The fire broke out on a Monday afternoon, and saw a huge response from fire stations across the region.
A total of 22 appliances raced to the scene.
Further crews were dispatched from Tayside and Central Fire Service to help tackle the massive blaze which lasted through the night.
