It comes after the pandemic took a hefty 25 per cent out of its revenue as many long-standing events were cancelled.
Every penny raised will help the centre support people living with a cancer diagnosis, and their families too.
Maggie’s is very close to the hearts of many Fifers – and the Fife Free Press which led the campaign to raise the initial £100,000 to get it started.
We came across these images in our archive from the very first first fundraising dinner staged in aid of the charity back in 2002.
It was held at the Strathearn Hotel in Kirkcaldy, and featured Jack McConnell, the then First Minister of Scotland, as our guest of honour.
