Area’s youth team to be rewarded

A GROUP of Anstruther youngsters are to be recognised for their hard work in setting up a youth project in Fife.

The group, as well as others in Cupar, launched the YouthBank scheme locally to help provide young people with the skills and knowledge to administer funding applications for youth-led projects.

Members who helped set up YouthBank will be given a Young Quality Scot award during Fife Youth Work Week, which runs between November 1-7.

The week-long celebration of youth work in Fife has reached a milestone this year with 25 events planned, including a mixture of interactive sessions that will bring young people and local councillors together to discuss issues in local communities, celebration events that recognise young people’s contributions to shaping their local community, and gig nights.
