Big award for a small school

Congratulations to one of the area's smallest primary schools - Kirkton of Largo - on lifting two prestigious Scottish Education Awards, announced at a special ceremony in Glasgow today (Wednesday).

The school in Upper Largo won the prizes for Learning Through Technology and for Health and Wellbeing.

The Scottish Education Awards were launched in 2001 by the Scottish Government and the Scottish Daily Record, with the specific aims of celebrating the successes and recognising the achievements taking place in Scottish education.

Entry is open to all publicly funded schools, including secondary, primary, nursery and special.

The categories are linked to the Curriculum for Excellence Programme and recognise the dedication and commitment of teaching staff and education supporters.
