Buckets filled for Barnardo's in St Andrews

Jangling buckets, a long distance cycle and a dose of local philanthropy has contributed to Barnardo's Scotland becoming the recipient of £1219.60 from Sainsbury's Local in St Andrews.

The money was presented to the Barnardo’s north east Fife Helper Group by Ian Jones, store manager, who also took part in the Blairgowrie to Perth cycle to add to the funds.

Rhona Keble-White. committee member, said: “We really appreciate the donations made by Sainsburys’ customers in St Andrews. This is a very impressive sum. It is made even more special by the fact that this year is our 150th anniversary and these donations will help to ensure that we continue to be there for vulnerable children, young people and families in years to come.”
