Tartan-clad pupils from Buckhaven Primary were a sight to behold as they took part in the school's third annual Kiltwalk.

The fundraising event has now become a firm fixture in the school’s calendar as it has proved to be so popular with the pupils and with parents and carers who are all invited to join in with the procession as it makes its way through the streets of the town.

The event, which was suggested by headteacher Lynn Dyas and first took place in 2014, was officially opened by Provost of Fife Jim Leishman who also took part in the walk, and once again there was an excellent turnout.

All the money raised through the collection buckets and from sponsorship will go to various children’s charities.
