Plans are in hand to maximise the fundraising from Bob's Walk 2017 for Maggie's Fife.

With just a week to go before his team begins its 50-mile hike, a text number has been launched together with a Justgiivng page.

And the organisers are also opening the door to a wide range of sponsorship opportunities.

Led by retired GP Bob Grant, Bob’s Walks have raised tens of thousands of £s for our cancer care centre.

And he wants to see that total pushed as high as possible with this fundraiser.

Bob will lead his team of core walkers – along with many individuals who will join each day – on a walk from Maggie’s Fife to Maggie’s Forth Valley to be part of the new Larbert centre’s opening celebrations.

They will follow the coastal path from Kirkcaldy to the Kincardine Bridge before heading on to the new centre.

The walk starts on Friday, March 10 at Maggie’s Fife, and ends on Monday – four days and approximately 50 miles later!

To tap into all fundraising options, the team behind the walk has set up a text donation hotline with a suggested sum of £5 or £10 – with every penny going to Maggie’s Fife

There is also a Justgiving page which has been set up for people who want to make a donation online.

It tells the story of Bob’s Walk – a fundraiser set up by Bob just six months after he lost his leg to cancer.

And Fife’s business community has a host of opportunities to show its support for Bob’s Walk – including taking part!

The packages include an event partnership at £5000.

Benefits include PR in the nightly blogs, your name on the walkers’ t-shirts, an opportunity to meet the team at Maggie’s, pop-up banners at the Forth Valley Centre ... and two places on the walk!

Businesses can also sign up as an associate partner at: £1000 in return for branding, PR, and a logo on the walkers’ shirts. There are also key supporter packages at £750, and t-shirt sponsorship s at £250.
