Sainsbury’s Leven welcomed over 100 guests to the event, organised in aid of the store’s chosen charity of the year, Levenmouth Foodbank and Home-Start Levenmouth.

Supermarket staff and Home-Start students and volunteers all donned the latest in affordable fashions and strutted their stuff through the cafe in a bid to raise as much cash as possible for the charities.

The fashion show is an annual event down at the Riverside Road store, organised by PR ambassador Donna Donnelly, and this latest show proved to be just as successful as in years gone by.

In total, £650 was raised for the foodbank and the family charity. At the foodbank, the cash will help not only to buy much needed items, but also to run their weekly cafe and outreach programmes.

And at Homestart, Kay McLearly, manager, said their half of the money will help to provide activities for families during the summer holidays.

“It was a really good night, the room was full,” said Kay.

As well as showing off the latest items available in the local store, guests were also treated to live music from Levenmouth teen and accomplished musician Jed Gillies.

There was also a goody-bag for each guest and the chance to win luxury hampers in a raffle.
