Members of Cupar Golf Club are donning their walking shoes for the ninth year in a row this Christmas to offer a card delivery service in and around Cupar.

The service begins on December 5 and runs until Dec ember 21 at a cost of 25p per card.

Collection points are at Gilmour’s in Bonnygate; and Caring for Cupar and the Central Cafe, both in Crossgate.

The Cupar Golf Club clubouse, off Ceres Road, will also serve as a collection point on Saturdays and Sundays.

Club captain Iain Barbour said: “This has become an important annual fundraiser for the Club and its golfing activities. We are inviting an unchanged donation of 25p for our Club - for each card collected and delivered”.

And Club president Joe Manson commented: “This year we again have four collection points for the Christmas cards, three in the town centre.

“We delivered thousands of cards last year round the town and see this as a great way to raise funds for our fine little golf club. The club deliverers will do their job over the next few weeks and get the cards around the town before Christmas!”
