Cupar Rotarians back Bikes for Africa
Re-Cycle is committed to improving life prospects through the provision of cheap sustainable transport. The bicycles should be in reasonable running order, although minor repairs and replacement parts can be obtained where necessary. Bikes in poor condition can be stripped down for spare parts. When the bikes reach Africa they are refurbished, providing employment and training, before being distributed by local partners in Africa. In rural Africa where there is often no public transport, people have to walk long distances to access education, health care or employment. A bicycle can be the first step out of poverty and towards a better life. If you have a bike that you no longer need and would like to donate, contact [email protected]. Cupar Rotarians can also arrange to uplift bicycles.
