The appeal comes from Methil Heritage Centre in a bid to add to its archives.

It is dedicating St Valentine’s Day to past love stories.

Members of the community who would like to share old love cards, letters or photographs (whether belonging to their past or inherited from an ancestor) are welcome to pop into the centre at any time between Tuesday February 13 and Saturday 17th.

They can donate this memorabilia to the Friends of Methil Heritage Centre, who will keep them in their archive for future record.

Alice Carbone, museum assistant said: “We would love to stimulate an increased involvement from the community in the everyday life of our heritage centre.

‘‘Since it is indeed a heritage cntre and not a Museum, it cannot be without the support and personal contribution of local people.”

You can find the Methil Heritage Centre at 272 High Street.

Opening times are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11.00 – 16.30; Saturday 13.00 –

16.30.
