Falkland committee waves goodbye to a good friend

Lisa Irving has been on the committee of Falkland Community Hall since 2004 and was vice chairman for 10 years.

During that time she has raised around £5000 by putting on fundraising shows with the local people who attend her Youth Theatre group in Falkland. Lisa also managed to secure £10,000 from lottery funds to buy staging, portable lighting and a sound system helping to improve the experience for the young performers and audience alike. Falkland Community Hall Committee are saddened to lose Lisa, but wish her well with her new venture. The committee is looking for new members to maintain the high standard of the hall and support plans to acquire the library for the community under the community asset transfer programme.Anyone interested in joining the hall committee or helping out in any way should email [email protected].
