Fife author shortlisted for romantic novel award

Bestselling Fife novelist Jenny Colgan, has been shortlisted for the 2018 RoNAs (Romantic Novel Awards) in the Romantic Comedy Novel category.

Jenny previously won Romantic Novel of the Year in 2013.

Her novel The Summer Seaside Kitchen, published by Sphere, is set on the fictional Scottish Island of Mure. It tells the story of Flora who is sure that exchanging the quiet Scottish island where she grew up for the hustle of the city was the right choice. But a client’s demands mean she is suddenly swept back into life on Mure - with the unexpected opportunity to explore a love of cooking and confront past mistakes.

I’m delighted that this year’s contending novels explore some profound and thought provoking themes.Our awards celebrate the many shades of romantic fiction, highlighting the wide appeal of the genre and some of the best examples from the last year.”
