Fife's greatest gigs: No 19. Nils Lofgren, Adam Smith Theatre

Legendary E Street Band guitarist, Nils Lofgren made two visits to “My Hometown” with gigs at the Adam Smith Centre in 1995 and 1998, with solo acoustic shows. I was lucky to be front row for both. He mentioned that it must be great to live in a town by the sea!

After the shows Nils stayed behind to meet fans in the theatre bar and sign autographs.

It was great to see a guy who I have seen in stadiums all over Europe rock up in Kirkcaldy, and get the chance and see close up his intricate guitar craft, and harmonic vocals, with a stellar set including “Keith Don’t Go”, “Shine Silently” and his take on Springsteen’s “If I Should Fall Behind”.
