Fife's greatest gigs: No 29. Morrisey, Alhambra

Dunnoon and Hawick were other unusual dates that Moz played on a nine-date tour in 2011 and unleashed a storming set at a packed Alhambra – his first ever visit to Fife. Sprinkled with solo favourites and a couple of then-newbies, it was a spellbinding take on The Smiths’ Meat Is Murder, backed with stomach-churning footage of the treatment of battery hens and veal calves, that provided the most memorable part of a truly great gig.
