At the height of their ascent, Sergeant, the band from Leslie who came so close to cracking the big time, played Rothes Halls – and packed it out.

The whole of Leslie poured in and turned the civic theatre into the sweatiest most rumbustious venue.

The beer flew overhead – possibly for the first time ever at Rothes Halls – as the mosh pit went nuts to the band’s glorious set.

It was the very definition of a triumphant homecoming.
