The three separate planning applications have been lodged with Fife Council.

The White Heather pub in Kirkcaldy’s Hendry Road, and the Kinneuchar Inn, Main Street Kilconquhar, have asked that restrictions on land be eased to allow them to create the developments.

The Olive Tree, St. Leonards Street, Dunfermline, also wants to make better use of land next to its premises to place seating in two areas next to the pub.

In its application, the bar stated said it would all customers to observe social distancing, and it would erect barriers with tables placed two metres apart.
