Friday’s event has been cancelled as there is still a weather warning in place from the Met Office.

The market, organised by businesswoman Louise Canny, has been a huge hit with locals, and brought people into the High Street.

It was slated to return on February 5 until high winds forced its cancellation.

Now, the heavy snowfalls have halted plans for this week’s event.

Although snow is scheduled to stop by the time the market sets up, there are concerns for people’s safety travelling to it.

Louise said: “I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the market on again this week.

“Some traders would need to travel and I don't want to encourage it when the roads are not safe in Fife.

“The High Street is also thick with snow and ice. I don't want anyone hurt and would rather not take the risk, the same as last week.”
