Glenrothes community group has plenty of talent!

A Summer Fayre fun day preceded Warout's Got Talent supported by community groups BRAG Enterprises, Community Enterprise Our Place project.

Friends of Warout (FOW) – a group of parents of the pupils of Warout Primary School launched the annual pupil fun day and talent show with the help of a community support group.

Fife social enterprise BRAG Enterprises and Community Enterprise have been supporting people and groups in Auchmuty to engage with the Our Place project to provide community groups with access to ‘Community Chest’ funding to allow them to run events such as the talent show, to keep the community together.

Fourteen acts took to the stage to showcase their talents. Dave Park, judge and a member of the Our Place staff said “The talent on show was incredible, the night left me speechless, It was tough to judge that anyone was a winner!”

Bob Mackay, FOW secretary said: “Last year with funding from Community Chest we held our first annual Warout’s Got Talent Show. The shows give the kids a chance to perform outwith their comfort zone and they rise to the challenge magnificently.

“Community Chest funding has allowed FOW to expand our Summer Fayre to include various activities such as bouncy castles and an animal show whilst keeping the costs to children and parents low in comparison to other schools.”
