It’s his first time playing in Kirkcaldy for some time – previous visits have seen him fill Rothes Halls in Glenrothes.

Jimeoin grew up in Ireland and Australia, and it was Down Under that he made his first forays into the world of stand-up.

He wrote, and starred in, two feature films in Australia, and also had his own TV show which ran for three seasons in the mid 1990s.

With extensive tours of Australia and New Zealand under his belt, he cracked the UK market as well, making his solo debut at the Hasmmersmith in London before then hitting his peak with gigs at venues the size of the Odyssey in Belfast.

The Festival Fringe in Edinburgh has beckoned more than once, and there have been a string of TV appearances on shows such as Sunday Night at the Palladium and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

His comedy style is also unique as he toys with jokes and random thoughts across his set.

As we went to press, his show at the Adam Smith Theatre was fast approaching a sell-out – the few tickets remaining are available at www.onfife.com.

Rothes Halls is playing host to some great up and comedians this year.

The second Comedy Night of 2018 is on February 23.

Hosted by Bill Dewar it features a trio of funny guys. The bill includes Ronnie Golden, Palbo Serski and Stuart Mitchell.

May 25 brings to highly acclaimed Scott Gibson to town – he enjoyed a sensational run at the Fringe last year – and Bruce Fummey, Robin Grainger, Susan McCabe, and Jojo Sutherland on June 29.
