Kilrymont Ceilidh Band set to headline at Pittenweem event

Pittenweem Community Trust (PiCT) is a non-profit community group working for the social, environmental and economic benefit of the Pittenweem area. Among its most recent events, above, was a harvest thanksgiving craft and produce fair, but, next Friday, there's a musical flavour to proceedings, with the famous Kilrymont Ceilidh Band taking centre stage.

The event is already being billed as the party of the year by PiCT and gets under way at 7.30pm on February 26 in Pittenweem Church Hall, James Street. The ceilidh will feature live music, free snacks and soft drinks, and you can bring your own bottle.

PiCT director Susan Wilkinson (pictured above with colleague Robin Bremner) said: “On these dark, cold winter nights, we need a bit of a hooley. The Pittenweem Ceilidh is an informal evening that all the family can enjoy. All profits will go to improving the Pittenweem sea pool, crazy golf and West Braes renovations. Don’t worry if you can’t remember the steps – there will be a caller and plenty of help on hand.”

Tickets are £5 or £3 for under 16s available from Pittenweem Pharmacy, Market Square or for more information, visit www.pict.org.uk or email [email protected].
