Kirkcaldy Marie Curie fashion show is grand!

Held in Fifty, the restaurant on the High Street, the event featured a fashion show displaying some of the quality clothing from the shop, modelled by volunteers; a hair demonstration courtesy of Migele Experience in Whytescauseway, and jewellery by Fife woman Lesley Bruce of Cala Contemporary Jewellery.

A total of £900 was raised on the evening to which Callum Robertson, owner of Fifty which he donated the use of for free, kindly donated another £100 to make it up to £1000. It will help provide support for people in Fife living with a terminal illness. Marie Curie nurses provide an hour of care in someone’s home for £20, so the amount raised will enable 50 hours of nursing.

Yvonne Whitehill, chairman of the fundraising group, said: “It was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all. I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success; Dom and his staff and models from Migele Experience, Lesley Bruce, Callum Robertson and his staff for their generosity and hard work and a very big thank you to all the members of the Kirkcaldy fundraising group who not only worked very hard in helping to organise and set up the event, but also contributed the food for the evening.
