Ladies who lunch raise over £25k for Maggie's Fife
Jewels and Gems was the theme of a sparkling Ladie's Lunch at the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews in aid of our Maggie's Centre, which raised a record breaking £25,000 for the cancer caring centre.
The event was hosted by comedian and presenter Fred MacAuley with entertainment from Abba Gold, the tribute band.
Each of the 300 guests brought along a piece of jewellery, which were sold off to raise funds for Maggie’s, while Jessops the jewellers donated a diamond necklace worth £2000, which one lucky winner took home.
Alison Harrow, centre head and Alison Wood, a centre user gave talks on the centre and how it had helped users.
