“While on a coaching course one of the leaders told me about a fantastic charity called Cricket Without Boundaries and asked if I would be interested,” Sarah explained.

“I visited the website and thought that is something different and what a great experience it would be.

“The charity links social health messages through cricket. Our main mission is to educate young people about HIV and FGM.

“This is fantastic opportunity to travel, meet like minded people, teach the wonderful sport that is cricket at the same time helping the children of Rwanda important health lessons.”

Sarah, who plays for the senior team and coaches the under 13’s team, will be away for two weeks with the charity, and is required to raise £975, which goes directly to CWB to cover the cost of cricket kit and health education equipment.

Sarah will be paying for the flights and food herself, and has already some funds by taking part in various events.
