Nostalgia: Fire destroys Kirkcaldy Railway Station

The southward side of Kirkcaldy Railway Station was gutted by fire in 1988.

The blaze was first noticed in the early hours of the morning but despite the best effort of the Fife fire crews it had already got a good hold and by the time it was put out around 4.20am, the building was destroyed.

The damage caused cost an estimated £350,000.
