Nostalgia: Kirkcaldy primary’s Chess Club in 1981
In 1981 St Marie’s Primary School were awarded a trophy by a local Kirkcaldy bank
The school’s Chess Club were given the donation by Hamish Munro, manager of the TSB in Kirkcaldy’s Kirk Wynd.
Accepting the trophy, which was to be awarded to the best player each year, was the 20-strong club’s longest-serving member, Lorna Singh of P7.
