Nostalgia: Kirkcaldy pupils on call in 1988
P4 pupils from Kirkcaldy West Primary School made a visit to Kirkcaldy telephone exchange in 1988.
The trip was organised as part of a class project that looked at the work that goes on behind the scenes to help keep the town running.
The 31 pupils, including seven-year-old Anna Lee who donned a headset whilst her classmates listened in, were under the guidance of their teacher Eileen Adams.
