Looking Back - Hutchison’s Flour Mill

This is a picture of the Robert Hutchison Flour Mill from the early part of the last century.

In 1830, at the age of 21, Robert Hutchison opened an account in the name of Robert Hutchison and Company and began trading in wheat, barley oats, flax, butter and flour.

By 1856 the company owned all the land in East Kirkcaldy where the present flour mill now stands.
