Water, water everywhere ... the day Cupar flooded

This week’s terrible weather brought back bad memories for those affected by flooding in Cupar in March, 1992.

Many homes and businesses were hit when the River Eden burst its banks following several days of persistent rain.

This photo was taken at the time in Waterend Road and is looking towards the rear of the County Buildings, now Cupar Police Station.

Fortunately, this week although the river was high, flooding was minimal, and did not reach these heights.
