FFTC, chaired by Allan Duthie, recently received £350,000 of Fife Council funding to provide the surface. The group is keen for local people to express what they want from the facility, which has to be self-financing.

FFTC has said it wants to create an asset which, over time, will provide as wide a range of sporting and social opportunities as possible – and this could only be achieved with the support of local people.

A leaflet to publicise the meeting says: “Come along and enjoy an opportunity to discuss and influence how the new state of the art 3G surface and the stadium facilities at Bayview could make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of residents in the Levenmouth area in the coming years.

“It’s your community. This investment is for you. Take this opportunity to have your say on how it should be used.”

FFTC reckoned it would be suitable for football, rugby, cricket, athletics, health and wellbeing, galas, fetes, shows, and much more.
