Plenty to tuck intoat food festival

Crail Food Festival, the annual gathering in the East Neuk for foodies, has unveiled a lip-smacking programme for 2016.

Being served up this year is a line-up containing a chocolate larder, a series of street food pop-ups, producers’ markets, top chefs, including MasterChef The Professionals 2014 winner Jamie Scott, and the much-loved lunch at the harbour.

Now in its sixth year, the festival has become a highlight of local calendar, taking place over the weekend of June 10-12.

The programme includes music events, evening dinners and indoor and outdoor markets.

It all started back in 2011 with a few stalls – this year there will be events in 11 different venues and Sunday’s lunch at the harbour is expected to again draw the crowds. There will also be a producers’ market, cookery theatre and chef tasting session.
