It’s for ex-BHS pupils who happen to be turning 50 in 2016.

The event is on Saturday, March 12, at the Expressions School of Dance studio, in the former Innerleven East Parish Church building off Methilhaven Road in Methil, and is for those who began first year at Buckhaven High in 1978.

Four ex-pupils, Peter Gilmour and Derek Dunsire, both now of Kirkcaldy, along with Jane Fraser and Martin Grieve, who stay in Methil, are the main organisers.

“We created a page to see if people would be interested in it, and we have had a good response,” explained Peter.

Facebook and social media have also been used to publicise the occasion, which will be catering for around 80 people, all born in or around 1966, with a DJ for entertainment, and some photographs and memorabilia on display.
